Tankless water heaters provide warm water only when you open a tap, so energy isn’t wasted by keeping water hot inside a storage tank. You notice the difference during back-to-back showers or busy mornings, since the supply of hot water is nearly limitless. The option to be mounted on a wall also frees space in your garage or utility room. If an upgrade feels right, Lightfoot Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electrical plumbers handle tankless water heater installation in Weatherford, TX. We size gas lines, check venting, and dial temperatures correctly. We also complete tankless water heater replacement when older units struggle.

Expert Tankless Water Heater Installation

Many homes work well with our tankless water heater services because these systems adapt to different layouts and routines. You gain space in closets or garages, which matters in smaller homes. Larger households benefit too, since hot water keeps flowing during back-to-back showers. We also install point-of-use units for additions, guest suites, or detached buildings where long pipe runs cause delays.

Every tankless water heater installation starts with a conversation about how you use hot water. We look at which fixtures run together during busy times. That includes showers, sinks, dishwashers, and laundry machines. From there, we calculate flow rates and peak demand. This step prevents undersizing, which causes temperature drops, or oversizing, which wastes energy.

On installation day, we shut off water and power before removing the existing unit. We prep the space and check venting, clearances, and mounting points. The system may require new piping or fittings to ensure proper compatibility. Gas models often require larger gas lines to meet BTU demand. Electric systems need sufficient amperage and correct wire sizing. Once connected, we test operation and safety controls.

Most tankless units last between fifteen and twenty years with annual maintenance. Hard water can shorten that lifespan by leaving scale on internal components. We often see buildup reduce efficiency and strain heating elements. Routine flushing removes those deposits and keeps performance steady. Homes with heavy daily use should schedule maintenance more often to avoid premature wear.

You’ll notice signs that it’s time for a replacement of your tankless water heater. Water temperatures may swing from hot to cold without warning. Sensors or heating elements can fail over time. Mineral blockages may limit output, even when demand stays normal. As systems age, recovery slows, and error codes appear more frequently. We’ll inspect the unit and explain whether repair still makes sense.

Our goal stays simple during our tankless water heater services. We help you restore consistent hot water without cutting corners. You’ll understand what’s happening, why it matters, and what comes next.

A tankless water heater replacement comes with several benefits:

  • Energy efficiency
  • Cost savings
  • Endless hot water
  • Longer lifespan
  • Compact design

Always a pleasure to have Lightfoot come and help with any repairs or just our seasonal maintenance to make sure everything continues to run smoothly. For our appointment Josh was amazing! He made sure to educate on us when to use the emergency heat versus regular heat. He also took the time to clean up inside and outside to ensure smooth running until our next scheduled service.

Ricky came out to check an issue I was having with lights and plug in my living room and entry way of my 1960s house. The extent of my knowledge was everything was tied into one triple switch and the two interior lights were off one wire. Ricky quickly found the problem and fixed it.
Better yet he took the time to discus my concerns about the aluminum wiring, common for the age of my home, in my house and my options for dealing with it. Worked up an estimate and discussed options for me to consider.
From setting the appointment to staff on site very happy with Lightfoot.
